The Borough of Sharpsburg is composed of 3 districts with 7 councilmen representing the Borough. Each councilperson, with the exception of Council President, is chair of a committee, which include: Fire/Borough Property, Health/Recreation, Police, Finance, Water, and Streets. The Council meets on the 1st Tuesday of every month for a legislative meeting. These meetings are held at 7:00PM. Every 3rd Thursday of the month, the Council convenes again for an agenda meeting at 7:00PM.
Sharpsburg residents are encouraged to attend Council meetings to voice any questions or concerns they have with Borough operations and issues. To speak about a non-agenda item at a Borough Council meeting, residents must register with the Borough at (412) 781-0546 or in person at the Administrative Offices at 1611 Main Street, prior to the regular monthly meeting.

All meetings will take place in Council Chambers at the Borough Building, located at:
1611 Main Street, Sharpsburg. Any Sharpsburg resident wishing to speak at a Council Meeting can fill out a registration form at the Borough office two business days before any of the above meeting dates.
