Sharpsburg is home to a number of local organizations that encourage socialization, provide supports and offer recreational activities. Click the links below for more information.

SHARPSBURG COMMUNITY LIBRARY,  1212 Main Street

Cooper Siegel Community Library – Sharpsburg

The Sharpsburg Community Library is a branch of the Cooper-Siegel Community Library offering a full range of library services:  computers for public use, new fiction, non-fiction, DVDs and books on CD, programs for adults including computer classes and book groups, and programs for children including storytimes and craft programs.  Items from other libraries may be requested and picked up at the library. COMMUNITY PARKS

Marion Gerardi Memorial Park located at 16th Street in Sharpsburg. Includes playground.

Kennedy Park located at 13th St. at N. Canal St. in Sharpsburg. Regular music and family fun events.

SHARPSBURG RECREATION CENTER

The Sharpsburg Recreation Center is located at the corner of 11th and Clay Streets.  The facility is often used for basketball games and tournaments, exercise classes, meetings and parties.  The Recreation Center is available to rent for various occasions and events, including birthday parties, graduation parties, training clinics, holiday parties, anniversaries and more!  The facility offers tables and chairs for those renting the space for an event, as well as various toys and entertainment for children’s parties.  The Sharpsburg Recreation Committee Board consists of members who live in Sharpsburg and the Fox Chapel Area School District; and serve as the working committee for the Recreation Center.  The Committee is a volunteer-based organization, funded through grants from local foundations. SHARPSBURG SENIOR CENTER

219 13th Street, Sharpsburg

Daily (Monday – Friday):

The Center offers a free meal at 11:30 AM. They kindly ask for a $1 donation.  Tuesdays: Big BINGO games every Tuesday afternoon at 12:30 PM. For more information on any of these events, please contact Jennifer Miles with the Senior Center at (412) 781-1176 ext. 2070.

SHARPSBURG NEIGHBORHOOD ORGANIZATION

Sharpsburg Neighborhood Organization (SNO) facilitates civic initiatives and engages volunteers to plan and complete projects that will further the sense of place, pride, and community in Sharpsburg.​ We're working to engage residents in local community-driven projects that improve the quality of life, enhance the economic vitality, and ensure the long-term sustainability of new development in Sharpsburg.
