Fox Chapel Area School District
Public school students living in Sharpsburg from kindergarten through the twelfth grade obtain their education through the Fox Chapel Area School District. Those in Elementary School living in Sharpsburg attend Kerr Elementary through fifth grade. There is one middle school and one high school within the district. In addition to Sharpsburg, the district serves the surrounding communities of: Aspinwall, Blawnox, Fox Chapel, Indiana and O’Hara.
There are three school board members who represent the region of Sharpsburg and some portions of O’Hara Township. Borough residents elect these board members to their positions. The Watson Institute is a Pennsylvania’s Approved Private Schools, providing education to children with special needs.
